To worship is to express, declare and display the worth of the object of that worship. We worship God alone. He is the only One who is worthy of worship. Singing in the congregation is just one aspect of our worship to God. On Sunday, we express our love to and declare the worth of our holy God. But worship doesn’t end in the service. We display the worth of God in the way we live; in our work, our relationships, our attitudes. Jesus said to the woman at the well,
“Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father...the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” - John 4:21-24.
Worshippers who worship God in all that they do are the worshippers that the Father is seeking. Is He seeking you?
At DSC, worship is holistic, lively, contemporary, interactive and exciting. We believe that worship is intended to be a celebration of who God is and what he has done (and is doing!) for each of us. We believe that worship doesn’t end when we leave the Sunday Celebration, but is an attitude that we nurture throughout the week, in our homes, in our community and at our jobs.
