about our pastor and his helpmeet michael is a graduate from multnomah bible college and seminary in portland, oregon. he holds a bachelor’s degree in sacred music and a master’s degree in pastoral studies. michael is also a published song writer, having written many songs, including the chorus, “you are my hiding place” (maranatha! music). he has toured with jews for jesus’ singing group, The Liberated Wailing Wall and has contributed songs to their cd’s David’s Hope and also the kid’s CD You Gotta Jump!
michael and his wife lylah have been married twenty plus years. they enjoy sipping morning coffee in their front garden courtyard, eating sushi, persian or somalian food, ’doing’ hospitality together—serving others in their home, playing free cell, sharing the good news of the kingdom, taking their grandchildren to disneyland and learning more ways to love each other. they have been richly blessed with two beautiful daughters, who are married to two awesome guys who love jesus. and to top the richness of family, the ledner’s have been richly, richly blessed with five fabulous grandchildren!
lylah’s heart is to encourage and disciple women in every season of life to embrace biblical womanhood and rebuild the home front as a place of dignity and nurture according to titus 2. her education and experience at multnomah bible college (certificate of biblical studies with an emphasis on women’s ministries) only increased that passion. she loves to drink coffee, chat with women, talk on the phone with her grandchildren and encourage her daughters as they mother these precious ones. lylah is a practical, yet expressive communicator (she has traveled as far as south Africa) and writer (mentoring handbooks) whose first mentoring booklet, Power Prayers for Your Mighty Man, has a world-wide distribution of over 6000 + copies (including the countries of Namibia, Nigeria, China, Germany, New Zealand, and South Africa).
